National Component Offers Complimentary Membership for Graduates!
Take advantage of complimentary membership for recent graduates. The AIA national component extends a special offer to individuals who have graduated with a degree in architecture from an accredited school of architecture/program. Eligible individuals must provide a copy of their diploma or transcript.
This offer provides qualified individuals up to 18 months of free membership in the American Institute of Architects, ending December 31 of the following year of graduation.
The AIA is a three-tiered organization (members belonging at all levels). Please call 1-800-AIA-3837, option 2, for any questions you may have. Or, please email AIA National about this offer at email@example.com.
As the emerging leaders for the profession, associate members are encouraged to join AIA to expand your network and knowledge about the practice of architecture. As a special incentive to associates, AIA Mississippi offers a sliding scale membership rate for recent graduates (new grads join at no cost) and a discount on local membership for first and second year associates.
Call Joe Blake, Executive Director, at (601) 360-0082 to confirm exact rates depending on your status/year and to obtain an application for 2009 membership.
Are you no longer receiving benefits?
Is your membership lapsed? (Former) AIA members who did not renew their membership by March 31, 2008 are now lapsed. Lasped architect members no longer have the right to use the AIA (or Associate AIA designation for associate members).
Do you need help in meeting new State Mandatory Continuing Education reqirements? All benefits of membership cease when membership is lapsed including correspondance about all local AIA events. Reinstate your membership to take advantage of all benefits including free admission to Chapter AIA/CES lunch and learn programs, discounted rates to many allied professional programs, to help you meet State Mandatory Continuing Education requirements for Mississippi licensed architects. See our Education section for information on AIA continuing education requirements and state licensing.
If you are a past member, we would love to have you back. Contact Joe Blake, Executive Director, at (601) 360-0082.
